Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey seeks an experienced applications analyst to enhance, support, and maintain clinical and business applications. You will coordinate analysis and development of new functionality, build and test changes, and manage vendor releases and system upgrades.

  • Implement new systems, enhance and upgrade existing systems.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and implement system and process changes.
  • Act as application SME on project teams.
  • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures.
  • Educate stakeholders on system functionality and configuration of new tools.
  • Mentor and cross-train across application teams.
  • Meet project deadlines and maintain accountability.
  • Provide on-call support 24/7 and monitor queues and logs.
  • Develop, plan, and maintain test scripts for installations and updates.
  • Maintain documentation and education for all enhancements.

Short Description

Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining applications.

Coordinates the analysis and development of new functionality. Builds, tests, and implements new functionality, maintenance changes, and fixes.

Reviews and completes scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.

Analyzes, diagnoses, and implements system and process changes. Ensures system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.

Act as application SME when assigned to project teams.

Works with cross functional teams on system functionality and configuration of new tools.

Create and maintain test scripts. Develops, plans, and executes testing for supported applications. Consistently meets project deadlines and goes the extra mile to ensure dates are met.

Troubleshoots and researches issues impacting systems.

1. Implement new systems, enhance and/or upgrade existing systems, system optimization, new feature/function implementation.

2. Analyzes, diagnoses, and implements system and process changes.

3. Acts as the application subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to project teams.

4. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.

5. Works with cross functional teams and stakeholders by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application.

6. Supports both mentoring and cross training across application teams.

7. Consistently meets project deadlines and goes the extra mile to ensure dates are met.

8. Provides on-call support 24/7, monitor queues, event logs, brokers, interfaces with external systems, and performs maintenance as required and create reports as needed.

9. Develop, plan, execute, and maintain test scripts for new installations, projects, and/or system updates.

10. Maintain documentation, service desk routing, and education all application enhancements and procedures to all key stakeholders.

Experience Required

3-5 years Required

3-5 year relevant clinical, certification, and/or technical experience will be considered for those candidates who have a proven track record in the field and handling responsibilities associated with the outlined job responsibilities/summary

Background in lab and Epic experience preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma Required

Bachelor's Degree - Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology/Systems, Healthcare Preferred.

License/Certification Requirements

Required:

Application specific certification/proficiency within 90 days of hire if applicable

Special Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to effectively translate IT terminology and processes with key stakeholders.
