Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking an experienced pharmacy/clinical data analyst to provide complex qualitative and quantitative analyses of data gathered during requirements gathering.

You will design, validate and implement new or changed functionality within the hospital's application environment, support testing, documentation, and on-call duties, and collaborate with IT staff and end-users to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Provide complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data gathered for requirements.
  • Gather requirements, provide fit gap analysis and create effective technical solutions for business needs.
  • Design, validate and confirm new or changed functionality within the supported application environment.
  • Lead small to medium projects and troubleshoot technically challenging problems.
  • Assist with administrative, technical, and customer-facing duties during system updates.
  • Meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Keep documentation up to date.
  • Design, build and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
  • Create and maintain test scripts for new installations, projects, and system updates.
  • Serve as the application SME on project Teams.
  • Liaise between end users, SMEs and technical support.
  • Provide on-call support 24/7.
  • Monitor queues, event logs and brokers and perform maintenance.
  • Monitor interfaces with external systems.

Short Description

GENERAL

  • Provide complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected as part of application requirement gathering.
  • Gather requirements, provide fit gap analysis and create effective technical solutions for the business needs.
  • Design, validate and confirm new or changed functionality with the supported application environment that meets customer specifications.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement and manage small to medium level projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems.
  • Assist with the administrative, technical, and customer-facing duties surrounding the successful project implementation of system updates and changes.
  • Consistently meets project deadlines and goes the extra mile to ensure dates are met.

DOCUMENTATION

  • Responsible for keeping all documentation up to date.

TESTING

  • Work closely with business users and application team to design, build and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
  • Create and maintain test scripts in support of new installations, projects, and/or system updates.
  • Accountable as the application subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to project Teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between end users, subject matter experts and technical support.

SUPPORT

  • Provides on-call support 24/7.
  • Monitors queues, event logs and brokers and performs maintenance as required.
  • Monitors interfaces with external systems16. Creates ad hoc reports per user specifications Scope, Purpose, and Frequency of Contacts: Frequent interaction with IT staff and end-users, including health system staff, management, or physicians.
Experience Required

6-10 years' experience required.

Experience with FDB or Medispan

Experience with Omnicell or Pyxis

Pharmacy or clinical background

Familiarity with med load and willow inpatient charging, including updates for hcpcs, medication costs and regulatory modifiers

Decision Support experience a plus

Strong technical and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Education Requirements

High School/GED required.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Special Requirements

Epic Willow Certification preferred

Certified Pharm Tech preferred not required

Healthcare experience in hospital, medical practice, or health system preferred.

Application specific certification/proficiency within 90 days of hire if applicable required.
