Job summary

Slocum-Dickson-Medical-Group is seeking an Application / Systems Analyst to bridge the user community with the applications, ensuring in-depth knowledge of systems and software. This role supports end users, trains staff, and collaborates with teams and clinical stakeholders in a health care setting.

The candidate will configure and maintain applications, document changes, and contribute to process improvements. Some travel, on-call duties, and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in technical field or associate degree with related experience.
• Strong background in programming and systems analysis.
• Solid understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions.
• Experience managing multiple projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user and application support and training.
• Configure, test, implement, and maintain applications software.
• Develop thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus.
• Write and maintain system documentation.
• Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process.
• Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.
• Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of defects.
• Provide systems and application training.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and communicate strategies.
• Knowledgeable in QoS and VoIP technologies; Avaya IP Office experience.
• Plans deployment, configuration, removal and management of phones and related applications.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, group policies and domain administration.
• May be required to work beyond regular hours; on-call; travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May be exposed to hazardous drugs.
• Attends OSHA training per orientation and annually.

JOB SUMMARY:

Application / Systems Analyst are responsible for in-depth knowledge of the Systems, software and are the primary liaison between user community and the application. They conduct regular day-to-day communications, review software, and exhibit a deep understanding of the business operations and works with Team(s), Group Operations, and end users.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides support to end users and participates in training, process improvement and quality assurance initiatives; provides new and ongoing application training.
• Configures, modifies, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software.
• Develops thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus.
• Write and maintain system documentation.
• Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process.
• Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.
• Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects.
• Provide systems and application training.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies.
• Knowledgeable in QoS and VoIP technologies. Experience with Avaya IP Office.
• Plans and Performs the deployment, configuration, removal and management of phones and their interface with various call handlers and Avaya related applications such as XIMA and Chronicall.
• Strong understanding of active directory (AD), group policies and domain administration.
• Due to the responsibilities of the position, may be required to work beyond your regularly scheduled hours.
• On-Call responsibilities.
• Occasional travel required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as Engineering or Computer Science or Associates degree with 2 years of additional work experience in a related field or High school with an additional 4 years of work experience in a related field is required.
• Strong background in programming, systems analysis, design and problem solving preferred.
• Solid understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions.
• Experience organizing and running multiple projects preferred.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:

Demonstrates the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with the project team, and key clinical stakeholders, including business services, nurses and physicians.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching.

· Basic dexterity skills, may be required lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
