Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions seeks an Application Support Engineer to join the production support team. You will be the escalation point for complex production issues, collaborate with engineering to resolve problems, and use AI tooling to reduce repetitive work.

Responsibilities include incident response, automation, AI tooling, and knowledge-sharing. Requires 3+ years in application support and strong networking, OS, and database knowledge. Hybrid in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 3+ years of application support experience, preferably in financial services or trading.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing role.
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and databases (MSSQL and/or NoSQL).
• Ability to read and modify application code in a compiled language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for frontline support; own complex production issues end-to-end.
• Participate in major incident response with impact analysis and recommendations.
• Monitor system performance and availability; resolve issues before impacting clients.
• Manage production access and support configuration and change management activities.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate investigation (log analysis, data extraction, reproduction).
• Build and maintain automations and reusable AI assets for engineers.
• Validate AI-generated output before it reaches clients or production.
• Collaborate with development teams on fixes; mentor newer engineers.
• Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
