The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of investment markets and experience in production support, with Python and AWS skills and strong communication with portfolio managers, traders, and development teams.

Entech is hiring a Application Support Analyst (Equity Trading Desk) for a financial services client. This is a onsite role that involves working onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania (5 days per week).

Job Description

• Support the Equity Trading Desk and work closely with Portfolio Managers and Traders. The role will provide day-to-day production and application support, monitor systems, perform pre-market checks, troubleshoot issues, and work with technical teams to resolve problems.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of investment and financial markets, along with experience in application/production support. You should be comfortable communicating with investment professionals, analyzing logs and code, identifying the source of issues, and coordinating with development teams when additional technical support is needed.

Qualification (8+ minimum years required)

• Strong knowledge of investment management, equity trading, and financial markets; ability to communicate confidently with Portfolio Managers and Traders.
• Experience in production support, application support, trading systems, or investment technology within a financial-services environment.
• Working knowledge of Python and the ability to read and understand existing code.
• Experience with AWS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze logs, trace issues across interconnected systems, and identify potential root causes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to investment professionals.
• Ability to determine when to troubleshoot independently and when to engage development or other technical teams.
• Experience with Charles River Development (CRD/CRT) is a plus.
• Willingness to work fully onsite, 5 days per week (flexibility for early/late coverage if necessary).
