Home Location: Carrollton, TX with some travel to Sulphur Springs, TX (HQ)
As an Application Support Administrator at Energy Access Innovations (EAI), you will be the senior hands-on owner of our Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure across EAI and its family of companies, resolve the problems our Service Desk can’t, and help move the business onto a single, secure Microsoft platform. The ideal candidate pairs deep Microsoft cloud skills with a service mindset and is comfortable working on-site with users, equipment and networks.
Core Responsibilities
Microsoft 365, Identity, and Endpoint Administration:
- Manage users, licenses, groups and shared mailboxes across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Maintain mail flow, distribution lists, retention and sharing settings.
- Administer Entra ID accounts, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO app registrations and guest/external access.
- Run joiner-mover-leaver processes so new hires get the right access on day one and departing users and vendors are fully removed.
- Enroll, configure and secure Windows, macOS and mobile devices in Intune with Autopilot, compliance and configuration policies, app deployment and patching.
Azure, Security, And Automation
- Support Azure-hosted servers, VMs and SQL workloads; monitor health, backups and costs with the Systems Administrator and IT Manager.
- Apply and monitor Microsoft Defender, Secure Score recommendations, DLP and email security.
- Investigate alerts and suspicious sign-ins and take first-response action.
- Use PowerShell (Microsoft Graph, Exchange Online) to automate routine admin tasks and reporting.
Escalation, Support, And Ticketing
- Serve as the escalation point for Service Desk I and II.
- Resolve complex issues with computers, IP phones, printers, scanners and network equipment, on-site at our Dallas, Las Colinas and Sulphur Springs locations when needed.
- Monitor the ticketing system, own escalated tickets to resolution and keep clear work logs. Work Level 1 support tickets as needed to cover volume, absences and after-hours requests.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for critical issues, including at least one weekend per month (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time).
Projects, Documentation, And Training
- Help consolidate entities onto the EAI Microsoft 365 tenant, including moving Google Workspace users, mail and files.
- Contribute to new-site setups and other IT projects on time and on budget.
- Keep runbooks, configuration records and knowledge-base articles current.
- Coach Service Desk staff and train end users on Microsoft 365 tools and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of IT support or systems experience, including 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) in a business environment.
- Hands-on Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience (Autopilot, compliance policies, app deployment).
- Working knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi) and Windows and macOS.
- PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the drive to find root causes, not just close tickets.
- A security-first habit: least privilege, MFA everywhere, clean offboarding.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Clear communication with both technical staff and non-technical users, and strong customer service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours or weekend on-call.
Preferred Background
- Microsoft certifications: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator).
- Experience with a Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migration.
- Experience in a multi-company or multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with MDM for rugged/warehouse devices, cloud phone systems and SaaS integrations.
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements
Office
