Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying/geomatics and related technologies.
• Familiarity with BIM, civil engineering workflows and construction layout.
• Knowledge of Reality Capture, mobile mapping and LiDAR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) courses and conduct virtual or in-person sessions.
• Develop training content, guides and reference materials for Reality Capture and BIM workflows.
• Support onboarding, workflow adoption and customer success initiatives.
• Deliver product demonstrations at field days, trade shows and events.
• Assist with proofs of concept activities and technical events.

The Geomatics Application Specialist supports customer adoption, training, content development, demonstrations, and workflow enablement across Topcon's Reality Capture, Mobile Scanning, LiDAR, Scan-to-BIM, Scan-to-Civil, Digital Layout, BIM, and Digital Construction solutions. The role works within the Geomatics Professional Services team and serves as a customer-facing resource supporting dealers, customers, sales teams, training initiatives, and technical events.

Primary Responsibilities

Customer Enablement

• Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) courses.
• Conduct virtual and in-person training events.
• Support customer onboarding and workflow adoption.
• Assist with customer success initiatives.
• Conduct workflow workshops and webinars.

Demonstrations & Events

• Deliver product demonstrations.
• Support field days, trade shows, and technical events.
• Assist with Proof of Concept activities.
• Support Technical Xperience and industry conferences.

Content Creation

• Develop and maintain eLearning courses, Training videos, User guides, Quick reference guides, Workflow documentation, Sales support materials, Knowledge base articles.
• Provide workflow guidance related to: Reality Capture, Mobile Mapping, Mobile LiDAR, Laser Scanning, Scan-to-BIM, Scan-to-Civil, BIM Workflows, Digital Layout, Construction Verification, Field-to-Finish Workflows.
• AI & Knowledge Initiatives: Support company AI initiatives through training content preparation, AI-ready workflow documentation, Prompt and content development, Educational content generation.

Desired Experience

• Experience in one or more of the following: Surveying, Geomatics, GNSS, Total Stations, Construction Layout, BIM, Civil Engineering, Technology, Reality Capture, Mobile Mapping, LiDAR, Scanner, CAD Software, ESRI Software.

Preferred Exposure

• AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Point Cloud Workflows, Digital Construction Processes.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 50% travel.
• Customer sites, Dealer locations, Training centers, Trade shows.
