Pantherx Rare Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Application Solutions Engineer to analyze and troubleshoot pharmacy applications, combining data engineering, SQL development, and application support. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience with modern data platforms.

Responsibilities include developing SQL reports, performance tuning for data pipelines, and providing technical support for specialty pharmacy applications in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in relational databases and application development/support.
• Strong SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) required.
• Excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Purpose

The Application Solutions Engineer analyzes and troubleshoots pharmacy applications combining expertise in data engineering SQL development and application support This role requires strong analytical skills experience with modern data platforms and the ability to optimize both data and application systems

Responsibilities

Application Solutions & Support Develops and maintains reports and solutions using SQLWrites and optimizes complex SQL queries for performance and scalabilityImplements performance tuning for data pipelines and application componentsProvides technical support for specialty pharmacy applications and related systemsTroubleshoots software and connectivity issues; escape when appropriateCommunicates complex technical issues clearly to non technical end usersDocuments issues resolutions and workflows in a ticketing systemMonitors and reports trends recurring issues and opportunities for improvementCollaborates with end users and support teams to resolve system issuesCollaboration & Documentation Works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements solve issues and deliver solutionsMaintains comprehensive documentation for data processes application components and query optimizationsCommunicates status updates and technical details effectively across teamsContinuous Improvement Stays current with emerging technologies programming languages and industry trendsIdentifies opportunities for automation and process improvementObserves and report trends recurring issues and areas for enhancement

Required Qualifications

Work Environment
