Job summary

IntePros is seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to support cloud-based, Java applications in production. This role sits at the intersection of support and development, requiring strong troubleshooting and understanding of end-to-end flows and dependencies.

You will monitor and triage incidents, collaborate with Dev and DB teams, and support deployments while leveraging troubleshooting and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based Java applications in production.
• Strong troubleshooting of performance, DB, and logs.
• Azure experience is preferred; Kubernetes a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Experience with GitLab/CI-CD and deployment processes.
• Ability to script in Python or Shell.
• Experience with ServiceNow or Jira.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL | Hybrid

We are seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to support cloud-based, Java applications in a production environment. This role bridges application support and development, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and an understanding of end-to-end application flows, data, and system dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support cloud-based production applications.
• Troubleshoot application, performance, and database issues; review logs and identify root causes.
• Triage incidents and coordinate with development and database teams for resolution.
• Support application deployments and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python and/or Shell to reduce manual processes.
• Identify opportunities for application optimization and AI-enabled improvements.

Required/Preferred Skills

• Strong Java knowledge for application troubleshooting and triage.
• Mid-level to complex SQL skills.
• Azure experience strongly preferred; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable monitoring tools.
• Experience with GitLab/CI-CD and deployment processes.
• Python and/or Shell scripting experience preferred.
• ServiceNow, Jira, or similar production support tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Additional Details

• Backgrounds in application development, application support, or production support are all relevant.
• Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
• Rotational evening and weekend support is required.
• Shifts may include 7 AM-4 PM, 11 AM-7 PM, or 12 PM-8 PM.
• Strong potential for conversion to a permanent position.
