Job Duties:
- Analyze existing SmartMeter application interfaces and tools, prepare logical models and procedures, create SQL code and scheduling scripts, and test/debug the application interfaces and tools.
- Diagnose, isolate, and correct data and performance faults in the systems involved.
- Prepare and obtain approval for system and development documentation.
- Execute planned and ad-hoc corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system operations.
- Analyze, evaluate, debug, and diagnose bugs, incidents, and exceptions in existing SmartMeter applications, interfaces, processes, and procedures.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in the data collected, reported, and processed in the SmartMeter systems.
- Interact with users, business stakeholders, and team members to discuss and report progress on requests and incidents.
- Perform quality control tasks as directed.
- Oversee the processing of 24-hour clock packages to ensure timely bill delivery, meeting metrics and SLAs.
- Support and recommend solutions for failed processing related to the 24-hour clock packages to ensure accurate customer billing.
- Develop conversion and implementation plans.
- Assist in defining, developing, and documenting business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications for SmartMeter systems on a project basis.
- Propose enhancements to procedures, processes, and tools based on current experiences.
- Communicate professionally and straightforwardly, including non-technical audiences.
- Interact with suppliers and contractors as needed.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Linux servers, networks, backups, and Oracle databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple departments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, troubleshooting applications and infrastructure technologies, and providing operations support and analysis.
- Experience with large-scale and complex infrastructure-application systems deployment.
