Senior Data Center Operations Analyst - Remote US

Role Summary

The Senior Data Center Operations Analyst is responsible for system monitoring, production batch monitoring, workload throughput, as well as batch and system task abend recovery for internal and external client MVS / ZOS / VM/VSE environments.

Shift Details

• 12-hour “quad” (3 on 4 off/4 on 3 off) Nights Shift (6:30PM - 7:00 AM CT)
• 16-week rotation from front half to back half of week
• Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and Holidays as per Shift Schedule

Position reports to Manager, Mainframe Operations.

What You Will Do

• Monitor and manage internal and external MVS zSeries and VM/VSE environments to ensure production processing meets service levels.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Complete daily shift turnover and customer checklists, including verbal and written handovers.
• Document deviations in the Incident Management tool with clear details.
• Escalate events or incidents impacting service levels.
• Perform system IPL, maintenance, and backup processes as scheduled.
• Document and approve operational changes in the Change Management tool.
• Follow processing procedures and suggest improvements.
• Work independently to organize tasks.
• Provide hands-on support as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree with less experience, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years experience in IT and system monitoring.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills.
• Designing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Professional representation of Ensono to clients.
• Knowledge of mainframe tools (TSO, SDSF, TMS, QuickRef) and server scripts.
