Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, North Carolina seeks an Application Engineering Co-op for a fixed-term, full-time position starting May 2027. The role supports product configuration, bid coordination, and proposal development within the EA division for future grids technology.

You will review customer specs, configure GMSG and SIMOVAC using NX-Tools and COMPAS, assist with AI-enabled quoting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while located on-site near Wendell, NC.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and near completion.
• Candidates must be enrolled with the NC State University co-op program.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; foundational understanding of electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support the Application Engineering team with product configuration, bid coordination, and proposal development.
• Review customer specifications and configure GMSG and SIMOVAC solutions using NX-Tools and COMPAS.
• Support technical and commercial proposal development and coordinate with internal teams and manufacturing partners.
• Assist with testing new tools and support AI integration into day-to-day quoting and engineering activities.
• Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and solution development.
