Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to bridge engineering, product development, and customer interface in the wire and harness industry. Review drawings, prepare BOMs, and support cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

You will participate in design-to-cost initiatives, manage ECNs, assist product launches, and help sustain existing portfolios. A BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience with cables and harnesses are required; Spanish

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations for wire and cable products.
• Experience with BOM creation and engineering change processes.
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems.
• Customer-facing experience; strong communication skills.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to develop new products and solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Create and maintain complete Bills of Material (BOMs) for customer quotation packages and production releases.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to provide technical support and product expertise.
• Support engineering change management processes, including ECNs consultation and implementation.
• Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal manufacturing.
• Assist in maintaining and improving existing product portfolios through updates and technical support.
• Participate in Design-to-Cost initiatives to improve competitiveness while maintaining performance and quality.
• Contribute to simplification, sustainability and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Analyze technical requirements and provide recommendations aligning customer needs with Prysmian capabilities.
• Support product launches by coordinating engineering documentation, product setup, and manufacturing implementation activities.
