Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: NJ, NC.

This position is responsible for planning, problem resolution, and advanced production support for multiple high-priority bank applications. Provides expert guidance and mentorship on application technical support, maintenance, and enhancement. Installs, configures, and performs daily administration of vendor-supplied software. Monitors performance to identify issues and optimize. Addresses failures or technical issues and provides resolutions. May oversee less experienced associates and serve as a technical resource to the wider business unit.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Support: Leads efforts to implement, integrate, upgrade, and support technical systems that execute business applications. Responsible for areas including LDAP, LINUX, WebSphere, data backups, and purging. Resolves complex problems and failures. Leads disaster recovery plans.
2. Technical Expertise: Maintains knowledge of primary applications, interfaces, and system integrations. Manages technical projects. Provides guidance and mentorship.
3. System Testing: Develops and oversees testing plans. Investigates user needs. Verifies software, patches, and upgrades.
4. System Enhancement: Uses user feedback to develop system improvements. Coordinates with interface applications and business units for configuration changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of application engineering experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of and experience with Infolease versions 9 and 10.
• Experience with RHEL 7.9+, AIX 7.x, Windows OS.
• Knowledge of Unidata 8.x, SQL Server 2012+, and understanding of Unibasic programs.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, Java, Python, Perl, SQL, and SQL Server administration.
• Ability to document processes clearly for training and knowledge transfer.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of application and database security principles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ServiceNow.
• Understanding of SDLC and project lifecycle.
