Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: NJ, NC

This position is responsible for planning, problem resolution, and advanced production support for multiple high-priority bank applications. Provides expert guidance and mentorship on application technical support, maintenance, and enhancement. Installs, configures, and performs daily administration of vendor-supplied software. Monitors overall performance to identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Addresses failed components or technical issues and provides resolution. May oversee the work of less experienced associates and serve as a technical resource to wider business units.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Support - Leads efforts to implement, integrate, upgrade, and support technical systems that execute business applications. Responsible for assigned technical areas including LDAP, LINUX, WebSphere, data backups, and purging. Resolves complex problems and failures that occur in assigned applications and systems. Leads disaster recovery plans for assigned applications.
2. Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge base of primary application, interface applications, and system integrations through ongoing research and education. Manages special or advanced technical projects. May provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates in the work group.
3. System Testing - Develops and oversees a comprehensive testing plan. Investigates, analyzes, and determines user needs. Verifies the successful implementation of software, patches, and upgrades.
4. System Enhancement - Utilizes end user feedback and requests to develop system improvements that impact applications. Determines solutions for known issues and business needs. Coordinates with interface applications and other business units to verify request definitions, then makes appropriate system configuration or parameter changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Application Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Application Engineering

Preferred Area Of Experience

• Knowledge of and hands-on experience administering Infolease versions 9 and 10 is a plus
• Experience with RHEL 7.9 or later, AIX 7.x, and Windows operating systems
• Good working knowledge of Unidata 8.x and SQL Server 2012 or later. Ability to read and understand Unibasic programs is a plus
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and native utilities for building infrastructure around the Infolease environments. Working knowledge of Java, Python, and Perl is a plus
• Experience writing and reading SQL, and basic knowledge of SQL Server administration tasks
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation for training and knowledge transfer
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with close attention to detail
• Knowledge of application and database security principles and protocols
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ServiceNow
• Understanding of SDLC and project lifecycle
