Job summary

Qualitrol, based in Fairport, NY, is seeking an Application Engineer to work with the Asset Protection product line. You will collaborate with customers and Sales to define technical requirements and ensure product quality and compliance with standards.

The role emphasizes problem solving, effective communication, and hands-on technical work with both software and hardware in a dynamic, growth-oriented team.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills with a strong customer service focus.
• Knowledge of telecom techniques for remote device monitoring: TCP/IP, modem protocols, serial links (preferred).
• Knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer technical assistance for product questions and problems from quotation through post shipment and installation.
• Research and identify product solutions; initiate new product models and derivatives to meet customer needs.
• Support manufacturing by answering technical questions and troubleshooting order-related problems.
• Analyze product failures and customer concerns; generate reports and CQCs as required.
• Provide internal training on Qualitrol products.
• Project management of customer issues from occurrence to resolution.
