Job summary

YANMAR America Corporation seeks an Application Engineer to join our team in Adairsville, Georgia. You will evaluate diesel, gasoline engines, and powertrains to ensure performance meets customer needs and complies with Yanmar standards.

You will work with customers and internal teams to capture requirements, perform field testing, analyze data, and support design and development of equipment. Domestic and international travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a related field, including co-op or internship experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of data acquisition and testing methods.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engine, hybrid, and EV specifications and scopes of supply based on customer application requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Yanmar standards outlined in installation instructions and manuals.
• Conduct field testing using data acquisition systems on customer equipment.
• Negotiate and manage engineering improvements for sub-standard systems.
