Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Power Products division seeks an Application Engineer to translate customer project requirements into manufacturable busway solutions, creating system layouts and BoMs with the BRASS platform. You’ll work with project managers, manufacturing, engineering, and sales to ensure designs meet specifications from concept through production.

Travel ~10% is expected. The role emphasizes design documentation, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction, with a strong total rewards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical specs and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new products and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Create system layout drawings and BoMs using BRASS design platform.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable busway solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project requirements and propose appropriate product selections and layouts.
• Support design revisions and resolve technical questions related to customer projects.
• Provide technical guidance on busway layouts and application requirements.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced.
• Identify opportunities to improve design consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure designs comply with company quality and safety standards.
