Job summary

Power Systems West is seeking an Application Engineer to provide engineering support, system design, and project oversight from early design through commissioning. You will liaise between PSW, engineers, contractors, and customers to ensure accurate technical documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 4–6 years of experience, and strong CAD and communication skills. Occasional travel and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; strong CAD skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as engineering liaison between PSW, engineers, contractors and internal teams.
• Manage key technical projects from submittal to completion, coordinating with teams.
• Conduct site visits for design review, equipment delivery, and startup oversight.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including submittals and drawings.
• Create and revise project drawings and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Provide technical support and training for customers and staff.
• Estimate, track, and manage project costs to ensure profitability.
• Represent PSW at trade shows and industry events.
