NMB Technologies Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer Associate to support customers and the sales team with technical expertise, ensuring design-win success and informed product recommendations. The role requires learning bearing technologies and applying that knowledge across products, processes, and sales practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Entry level or less than 3 years of general work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point); Basic 3D modeling (SolidWorks) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills are required.
• Business-level speaking is a plus in Japanese or Spanish; reading/writing in these languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Business Development- support efforts to identify and penetrate new accounts in target markets and secure new business.
• Relationship Development/Communications - visit customers regularly for interactive engineering discussions.
• Design Recommendations- understand customer applications and technical requirements; specify optimal NMB products.
• Product Development- lead development of custom motor bearing solutions and coordinate technical activities between customer engineering and international NMB engineering.
• Sample Evaluation- manage sample development and evaluation; ensure samples meet requirements and feedback to NMB engineering.
• Product Documentation- issue technical drawings, specifications, data sheets, catalogs as required.
• Reporting Communications - provide timely written and verbal reporting on customer interaction and development status (Salesforce).
• Technical Research & Reporting - gather customer roadmaps and industry trends; report findings to product management.
• Travel- travel up to 20% with mostly domestic travel and occasional international travel.
• Other- perform other duties as related to the job function.
