Job summary

3M is seeking an Application Engineer for its Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division. You will drive growth through customer collaboration and new application development, leveraging 3M’s portfolio to deliver Customer Inspired Innovation across Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asia region.

You will lead field trials, provide technical solutions, and train customers while working cross-functionally with sales, R&D, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in application engineering or technical support.
• Knowledge of adhesives, bonding tapes, and converting processes.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support growth strategies in key markets through application development and replication.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to develop new applications for bonding solutions.
• Deliver product recommendations, evaluations, and support to customers.
• Conduct product and market-focused training via in-person engagements and webinars.
• Lead field trials and analyze market trends to inform strategy.
• Build knowledge on market and technology trends to support commercialization.
