Job summary

Supermicro is looking for a talented Application Engineer with in-depth knowledge in computer/server architecture. You will be responsible for validating and troubleshooting cutting‑edge server systems and working with the Product Manager to provide the best customer support.

The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in computer/server product as well as excellent documentation and communication skills – ability to interface with cross‑functional teams in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of working experience in computer systems and/or servers.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Highly analytical, creative, detail-oriented, organized, and a good team player.
• Familiar with Windows/Linux command-line interface (CLI).
• Excellent knowledge of Server/Workstation products.
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Production, Service, Purchaser, Product Manager to validate and debug server systems.
• Identify technical issues and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues.
• Proactively follow up the current backlogs for validation and raise roadblocks as needed.
• Continuously process and documentation improvement for efficiency and accuracy.
• Continuously learn and create technical documents for validating and troubleshooting newer GPU systems.

Salary Range

$88,000 - $95,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
