Job summary

Qualifications

• Exposure to instrumentation valves, fittings, fluid systems is a strong plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

APPLICATION ENGINEER | INSTRUMENTATION VALVES & FITTINGS | Houston

We are working with a global manufacturer of instrumentation valves, fittings, and fluid system products to find an Application Engineer for their US headquarters in Houston, Texas - a junior to mid-level role with a clear progression path into an outside field sales position.

The Company

A well established global manufacturer with facilities in the US, Germany, and China - specialising in instrumentation valves and fittings, ultra high purity products, sampling systems, and tubing for oil and gas, chemical, semiconductor, and industrial markets. They are in active growth mode in the US and this role sits at the heart of that expansion.

The Opportunity

You will be the commercial and technical link between the customer and the business - managing proposals, processing orders, supporting customers through technical queries, and proactively sourcing new opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Managing the full sales cycle - proposals, quotes, order processing, and customer service
• Providing technical support to customers on instrumentation valve and fittings product selection
• Building knowledge of the market and competitors to support competitive project bids

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
• 2 years of relevant experience in industrial sales, mechanical engineering, or instrumentation preferred
• Any exposure to instrumentation valves, fittings, fluid systems, fluid power, or related industrial products is a strong plus
• Genuine people skills - Building relationships and be comfortable on the phone and in front of customers
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
