Job summary

Seven Executive Limited is seeking an Application Engineer to design, develop, integrate and support coding and marking solutions across manufacturing environments. You will work with customers and internal engineering teams to deliver robust solutions from concept to installation and ongoing support.

The role spans software, automation, industrial equipment and customer applications, with emphasis on strong technical and problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and integrating coding and marking systems.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills across software and automation.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs and industrial databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure application solutions for coding and marking systems.
• Understand customer requirements and deliver technical solutions for automated production lines.
• Interface with PLCs, HMIs, sensors and other industrial equipment; provide commissioning support.
• Prepare technical documentation and support customers during trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service and Engineering teams on projects.

Our client is a global market leader within the industrial coding and marking sector, providing innovative identification, traceability and product-coding solutions to manufacturers across the world.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to design, develop, integrate and support coding and marking solutions across a wide range of manufacturing applications.

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and developing technical solutions that integrate coding and marking technology into automated production environments.

You will work across a combination of software, automation, industrial equipment and customer applications, providing technical expertise from initial concept through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure application solutions for industrial coding and marking systems.
• Work with customers to understand technical and production requirements.
• Integrate coding and marking equipment into automated production lines.
• Develop and modify software, scripts and application configurations.
• Interface with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, databases and other industrial equipment.
• Carry out system testing, installation and commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve technical, software and communication issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Work alongside Sales, Service and Engineering teams to deliver customer projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and application procedures.
• Support customer demonstrations, trials and technical evaluations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of new applications.

We are looking for an Application Engineer with strong technical and problem-solving skills who is comfortable working across software and industrial automation.
