Job summary

Rise Technical in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an Application Engineer with pre-sales experience to support sales teams, deliver product demonstrations, and travel up to 50% to engage with customers and partners. You will test and troubleshoot applications, create compelling proofs-of-concept, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience with enterprise networking, including Wireshark, wireless LAN, network security, vulnerability scanning, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with ability to travel up to 50%.

Are you an Application Engineer with experience providing technical sales support in a pre-sales environment, looking for a role offering significant customer interaction, technical variety, and the opportunity to travel?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing operation, where you will play a key role supporting sales activities, developing technical solutions, and working closely with customers, partners, engineering, and marketing teams.

Working alongside experienced sales and engineering professionals, you will provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, while developing your knowledge across networking, RFID, printing, software, and industrial technology.

In this hands‑on role, you will engage with prospective customers to understand their requirements, develop and deliver product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concepts, troubleshoot technical issues, and help remove technical obstacles to successful sales.

This role would suit an Application Engineer, Sales/Solutions Engineer, Pre‑Sales Engineer, or similar technical professional with experience supporting customers and sales teams, particularly within networking, RFID, industrial technology, printing, or related environments, looking for a long‑term opportunity with a growing company.

The Role:

• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and travel internationally up to 50%.
