Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Application Engineering or Industrial Automation/M motion control environments.
• Strong understanding of motion control systems, motors, drives, and integrated system architectures.
• Experience with system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer – Drive System Solutions to support the design, integration, validation, and deployment of advanced drive system solutions. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Program Management, Sales, and customers to develop scalable, high-performance systems that drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Develop system-level architectures integrating motors, drives, gearing, and control systems
• Translate customer application requirements into structured, scalable system designs
• Define performance requirements, system constraints, and integration strategies
• Conduct trade-off analyses to optimize performance, cost, reliability, and scalability

System Integration & Validation

• Support integration of components into complete drive system solutions
• Develop and execute validation plans to ensure performance and reliability objectives are met
• Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Verify solutions meet technical requirements and customer application needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Management to align solutions with product strategy and roadmap
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful implementation
• Support Program Management in meeting development milestones and deliverables
• Work closely with Sales and Solutions Engineering teams on customer opportunities

Customer & Application Support

• Assist in gathering application requirements and validating proposed solutions
• Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and customer presentations
• Support resolution of technical issues throughout both pre-sales and post-sales activities

Technical Documentation

• Create and maintain:
• Performance calculations and specifications
• Validation plans, reports, and test results
• Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3-6 years of experience in:
• Application Engineering
• Industrial Automation or Motion Control environments
• Strong understanding of:
• Motion control systems
• Electric motors and drives
• Integrated system architectures
• Experience with system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
• Ability to translate customer requirements into effective system-level designs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with experience supporting technical engagements

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and control systems
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) integration and/or fleet management software
• Knowledge of AGV/AMR safety standards, including ANSI/RIA R15.08 and ISO 3691-4
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments
• Experience using Python and/or C++ for diagnostics, scripting, or automation
• Experience working in multidisciplinary product development environments
