Job summary

Greenheck Group in Wisconsin is seeking a motivated Application Developer Co-op for January–August 2027 to contribute to development, testing, and enhancement of our business applications.

You will work with C#, SQL, XML, Jira, Git, and AI-assisted tools, build reports and dashboards, and collaborate with developers and business partners to deliver practical technical solutions while gaining real-world experience in the HVAC industry.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a related bachelor’s degree program (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, or similar degree with technical aptitude).
• On track to graduate in the next 3 semesters.
• Experience with object-oriented programming through coursework, projects, or previous work.
• Familiarity with C#, SQL, XML, or similar programming languages and technologies.
• Exposure to software development tools and practices such as Git, Jira, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with databases, structured data, and querying data using SQL.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an interest in developing technical solutions.
• Ability to collaborate on projects and communicate effectively with both technical and business partners.
• Exposure to Power BI, Python, data visualization, or AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and enhancement of business applications and software solutions.
• Write, test, troubleshoot, and maintain code using languages and tools such as C#, XML, SQL, and related technologies.
• Support software quality assurance, testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Work with data to develop reports, dashboards, and other solutions that support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with developers, business partners, and other team members throughout the development process.
• Use tools such as Jira, Git, and approved AI tools to support development, documentation, and project work.
• Identify opportunities to improve or automate existing applications, processes, and reporting solutions.
