Akina, Inc. is seeking a general-purpose CNO software engineer embedded in operations for upcoming projects at Fort Meade, MD.

You will own the full product lifecycle from design to maintenance and will modify and integrate tools across teams to meet mission needs. You will work with analysts, operators, and other engineers to define new requirements, provide tactical operational support, and contribute to longer development lifecycles for feature-rich capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE with 6+ years of software development, or a Master's with 4+ years.
• Experience with C/C++/Python and network programming.
• Experience supporting fielded software systems and cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion; Atlassian tools.

Description

You will act as a general-purpose CNO software engineer embedded in operations for up-and-coming projects. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle including: design, prototype, development, release, deployment, and maintenance of all tools developed by the team. In addition to the above you will also be responsible modifying other teams tools and integrating products developed by other teams into our toolkit for mission-centric results. You will work closely with analysts, operators, and other software engineers to define new requirements and provide tactical support to operations. This includes quick reaction operational support and the support in addition to the longer development lifecycle of more feature rich capabilities.

Position Required Skills

• Produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python, with explicit experience in network programming.


• Provide support for fielded software systems.


• Ability to coordinate and communicate with users of differing technical knowledge including operators, analysts, and other developers to deliver finished products to the customer.


• Familiarity with Git and Subversion.


• Atlassian Tools (Confluence/Jira/Bamboo).

Nice to Haves

• Experience developing CNO specific software in Linux/Window/Embedded environments.


• Experience with Vulnerability Research and Exploit Development.


• Experience with Malware RE.


• Solid understanding of cryptography.


• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.


• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.

AD2 Qualifications

Shall have a minimum of a Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering and a minimum of six (6) years of software/system development work experience or a Masters of Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of four (4) years of experience.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Salary Range

$213k-$260k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
