Akina, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SWE2) to perform implementation, problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
The role emphasizes building complete solutions with back-end and front-end languages within a cross-functional team. Ideal candidates will have strong coding experience, Agile method expertise, and the ability to mentor teammates.

Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems.
Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge.
Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.
Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
Concentrates on using both back-end and front-end languages to build complete solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 14+ years of experience with software engineering, or 18+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree.
$241k-$295k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
