Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to provide L1/L2 production support for critical mainframe applications. You will monitor batch jobs, handle incidents, and perform RCA analyses while coordinating with on-site teams and cross-functional groups.

The role requires strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM, with a focus on SLA-driven operations and continuous improvement in automation and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development and Production Support projects.
• Hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM.
• Provide L1/L2 production support for Mainframe applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor batch jobs and resolve job abends, failures, and issues within SLAs.
• Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities.
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and scheduling tools.
• Coordinate with on-site and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM) and bridge calls for outages.
• Lead automation initiatives and documentation for runbooks and knowledge artifacts.

• Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, support runbooks, and knowledge management artifacts.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations as required.
• Experience with SLA-driven support environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management best practices.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and stakeholder communications.
