Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Mainframe Production Support professional in Phoenix, AZ. You will apply hands-on COBOL/JCL/DB2/CICS/VSAM skills to maintain and optimize critical mainframe applications, monitor batch jobs, and resolve incidents within SLA.

Responsibilities include leading major incidents, coordinating with on-site and cross-functional teams, performing RCA, and driving automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development and production support.
• Hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM expertise.
• Provide L1/L2 production support for mainframe applications.
• Monitor batch jobs, resolve abends and issues within SLA.
• Manage incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Troubleshoot COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and scheduling tools.
• Coordinate with business users and cross-functional teams.
• Lead Major Incident Management and bridge calls for outages.
• Execute emergency fixes, deployments, and validation.
• Drive automation and continuous process improvements.
• Prepare runbooks and knowledge management artifacts.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotations.
• Experience with SLA-driven support environments and ITIL.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development and Production Support projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM.
• Provide L1/L2 production support for Mainframe applications.
• Monitor batch jobs and resolve job abends, failures, and application issues within SLA timelines.
• Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities.
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and scheduling tools.
• Coordinate with business users, onsite teams, and cross-functional support teams for issue resolution.
• Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) and bridge calls for critical production outages.
• Execute emergency fixes, production deployments, and validation activities.
• Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, support runbooks, and knowledge management artifacts.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations as required.
• Experience with SLA-driven support environments.
