Job summary

Kforce is seeking an Application Developer in Irving, TX to analyze, design, implement, and support web-based applications aligned with the company’s internet/intranet strategy. The role also involves maintaining ecommerce and business applications to support business needs.

The candidate should possess experience with Java, ASP, C/C++, Cold Fusion, ActiveX, VB, HTML/DHTML and an understanding of COM/DCOM, CORBA, and cross-system integration.

Qualifications

• MCP plus internet/web certifications or equivalent.
• Experience with Java, ASP, C/C++, Cold Fusion, ActiveX, VB, HTML/DHTML and knowledge of COM/DCOM/CORBA.
• Strong understanding of performance aspects of application development.
• Knowledge of authentication tools and human–computer interfaces.
• Familiar with DBMSs, development methodologies, standards, design tools and specification representation.
• Knowledge of web design principles, firewall/network security, and internet database connectivity.

Requirements

• MCP +internet or other certifications like Win 95/98/NT/Unix, Java Script, VB Script, PERL, XML, HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, Progress, MS Front Page, Cold Fusion, Visual Interdev, ActiveX and Java Applets, ISAPI/NSAPI or MS IIS
• Requires experience with Java, ASP, C/C++, Cold Fusion, ActiveX, VB, HTML/DHTML and an understanding of COM/DCOM, CORBA and linking back-end applications
• Must be experienced with performance aspects of application development
• Knowledge of authorizing tools and human interface
• Knowledge of DBMSs, development methodology, standards, design tools and specification representation
• Knowledge of web design principles and standards, firewall and network security and Internet database connectivity

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
