Job summary

Brainlab is seeking an on-site clinical liaison to demonstrate image-guided surgery products and provide expert guidance to physicians and OR staff. You will lead installations, train healthcare personnel, and collaborate with the account manager to identify opportunities while supporting product enhancements.

The role requires a Biomedical/Engineering degree and at least one year in healthcare tech support, with up to 25% regional travel and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Nursing.
  • 1 year experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate the use of products and services to increase image-guided surgery (IGS) usage.
  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by evaluating options and problem-solving during surgery to maximize IGS efficiency.
  • Lead installations and establish functionality at new and existing customer sites; educate/train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of IGS products.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications.
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining site visits and contact with customers, and work to increase revenue via service contracts, parts, upgrades.
  • Strategize with Account Manager to evaluate customer opportunities and open sales projects.
  • Resolve product issues through analysis and engineering expertise.
  • Promote surgery products and services to surgeons at trade shows.
  • Travel up to 25% regionally.

Job Description
  • Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate the use of products and services to increase the frequency and quality of image-guided surgery (IGS) product usage
  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by evaluating options and problem-solving during surgery in order to maximize IGS efficiency and usage
  • Lead installations and establish functionality at new and existing customer sites; educate/train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical and Information Technologies staff, on the use of IGS products and services
  • Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining site visits and regular contact with customers, assessing satisfaction and usage levels, and working to increase revenue via the sale of service contracts, spare/wear parts, upgrades, etc.
  • Regularly strategize with the Account Manager in your region to evaluate customer opportunities and open sales projects
  • Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and utilization of engineering expertise
  • Promote surgery products and services to surgeons at trade shows.
  • 25% regional travel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Nursing
  • 1 year experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider.
