Job summary

BCforward seeks an Application Architect III to join our team in Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL. The candidate will bring strong experience in production reliability, container platforms, CICD, and automation, with a proven ability to stabilize complex systems and drive operational excellence.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams on break fixes, deployments, monitoring, disaster recovery, and on-call support to meet SLAs, including weekend

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in production operations or production support in a CICD platform environment.
Strong automation experience with Python or Bash and scripting for cloud and container platforms.
Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end support of production applications to ensure stability, reliability, and performance.
Conduct in-depth analysis to troubleshoot system errors and performance issues.
Own root cause analysis and implement remediation.
Lead production incident triage calls and ensure timely resolution.
Provide on-call production support, including weekend rotation.
Execute disaster recovery procedures and strategies.
Collaborate with Engineering, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams on break fixes, code updates, configuration changes, and production enhancements.
