Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an Application Architect III in Charlotte, NC to lead the architecture of Global Financial Crimes CCM applications. You will mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and guide multiple teams in building scalable, secure systems with REST APIs, microservices and event-driven patterns.

You will drive modernization efforts, ensure secure coding practices, and collaborate in an Agile environment while guiding technical direction across the organization.

Qualifications

• Expert-level hands-on full-stack development experience using Java 17+, Spring Boot, ReactJS and enterprise frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Security, JPA, Hibernate, and Oracle SQL.
• Advanced understanding of performance tuning, JVM optimization and query optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Artifactory) and automated testing.
• Experience with containerized apps using Kubernetes/OpenShift and Helm.
• Proficiency in testing, observability, distributed tracing, logging, and SRE practices.
• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and enterprise identity management.
• Enterprise compliance, auditing, and governance capabilities knowledge.
• Financial services or regulatory domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee solutions architecture for new deliverables.
• Mentor developers on frameworks and paradigms.
• Conduct code reviews and lead feature implementation across teams.
• Design and build scalable, secure applications and REST APIs.
• Develop microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Lead modernization initiatives and legacy transformations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction.
