Job Title: Application Architect / Technical Lead

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 6-month Contract

Work Type: Remote

Pay Range: $92.20 - $99.29/Hr

Job Description:

• The Technical Lead will work closely with Project Managers to plan, roadmap, and execute environment build-outs.
• Serve as the interface between the development team and project management.
• Support the creation and execution of complex technical solutions that meet user needs, enhancing business performance through technical analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.

Solution Development:

• Provide technical direction for design, development, and system integration from definition to implementation.
• Apply industry knowledge to improve service delivery for stakeholders.
• Review technology system proposals and recognize deficiencies to implement solutions.
• Ensure timely completion and approval of project deliverables.

Technical Effort Management:

• Create and revise technical plans as needed.
• Keep team members informed and act as liaison with vendors and project portfolios.
• Manage technical risks and resources within budget and schedule.
• Deliver high-quality stakeholder service.

Technical Expertise:

• Understand complex technology concepts and employ suitable solutions.
• Demonstrate experience with multiple vendors and technology portfolios.
• Possess knowledge of client/server and internet architectures and networking in WAN environments.

Vendor Management:

• Manage interactions and expectations with vendors.
• Communicate effectively to identify needs and evaluate solutions.
• Build and deepen vendor relationships and knowledge bases.

Communication:

• Facilitate team and vendor meetings, deliver presentations, and handle issues tactfully.

Leadership & Teamwork:

• Lead by example, inspire excellence, and promote continuous improvement.
• Foster effective team interaction and share lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience as a Technology Lead.
• Experience in environment build-outs, vendor management, and SDLC.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Customer Billing Systems (CSS, Meter-to-Cash), Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, UNIX, Oracle Fusion, C++, and FCP.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
