Cone Health is seeking an Application Analyst to support clinical and business applications, improving performance and alignment with organizational needs. Under supervision, you will gather user needs, analyze data, and help implement, optimize, support, and troubleshoot applications, with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Epic certification is strongly preferred and testing completion is required per policy.
  • On-call responsibilities apply.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with technical and end user groups to ensure applications meet clinical and business needs when building the system.
  • Analyzes end user workflows, data, reports and technical issues to inform design and configuration decisions.
  • Plans, prepares, and executes test scripts for application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Documents test results, design changes, change control, system problems, and procedures per standards.
  • Provides technical application support, triage, and troubleshooting for complex applications.

Education

Job description

The Application Analyst assists in providing technical application support for clinical and/or business applications in order to improve their overall performance and ensure they are meeting the organization's needs. Working under close supervision, the Application Analyst assists with gathering, analyzing, and evaluating user needs, and implementing, optimizing, supporting, and troubleshooting clinical and/or business applications. This position like other application analyst roles does require on-call responsibilities. Strongly prefer EPIC certification.

Essential Job Function
  • Collaborates with internal and external technical and end user groups to ensure applications and other third-party systems meet the organization?s clinical and business needs when building and implementing the system.
  • Assists with the analysis of end user department workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues as they relate to design and build decisions; involves qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected as part of application requirement gathering; understands and translates the business/clinical functionality into system configuration and workflow validations.
  • Assists with planning, preparing, and executing test scripts for application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Supports the documentation of test results, design, change control, system problems, and internal procedures according to departmental standards.
  • Provides technical application support, triage, and troubleshooting for complex applications.
  • Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity, and appropriately escalates issues/problems.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of new technical concepts and solutions and their application to healthcare as well as assists with implementation and support of third-party systems.
  • Assists with integrating applications with other cross-functional applications utilized by the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Licensure/Certification/Listing
  • Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the time frame specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
