Universal Health Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, seeks an Application Analyst II - Radiology to support Radiology Information Systems across a multi-entity, 26+ hospital environment. You will coordinate specifications, testing, and documentation with users, vendors, and IS staff.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Cardiology and Radiology IS, and strong communication. The role involves on-call support, adherence to PM standards, and collaboration with project teams across UHS

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in Cardiology and Radiology IS.
  • Experience with Cerner RIS, GE MUSE, and PACS.
  • Knowledge of IS standards and quality metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst II-Radiology.

The Application Analyst II - Radiology supports the implementation of UHS Radiology Information Systems and Radiology Related applications in a Multi-Entity, 26 plus Acute Care Hospital Environment. Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Designs new or determines modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience and expertise with other members of team and is viewed as employee with significant technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.
  • Supports the implementations of applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.
  • Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.
  • Performs Q/A on application functionality.
  • Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets.
  • Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
  • Assists with the training of users in operating procedures for application.
  • Coordinates project team member activities to achieve common objectives.
  • Working in conjunction with a project manager, monitors project plans. Tracks project status, issues and progress.
  • Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades.
  • Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.
  • Provides on-call support as scheduled.
  • Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Prepares and submits status reports to supervisor as required.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
  • Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three or more years of Cardiology and Radiology Information Systems experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
  • Working knowledge of Cardiology and Radiology related system application (i.e. Cerner RIS, GE MUSE, and Cardiology/Radiology PACS systems) implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods.
  • General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirements:

5 - 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
