Job summary

Gundersen Health System is seeking an experienced Application Analyst – Epic Resolute PB to optimize Epic Professional Billing workflows across revenue cycle, finance and clinical partners. You will support charge capture, claims processing and reimbursement optimization while maintaining data integrity and user satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings Epic billing expertise, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to excellent support in a complex healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a healthcare IT or billing environment.
  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing and/or Hospital Billing certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic application issues and provides end user support.
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure system performance and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitors applications for issues during maintenance, upgrades and implementations.
  • Monitor performance and assist with auditing processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in projects related to system enhancements, integrations, and new implementations.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst – Epic Resolute PB to support and optimize our Epic Professional Billing applications. In this role, you will partner closely with revenue cycle, finance, operational, and clinical stakeholders to ensure billing workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. You will play a critical role in supporting charge capture, claims processing, reimbursement optimization, system integrity, and end-user success. The ideal candidate brings Epic billing expertise, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support in a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

What's Available:

Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday core business hours, potential on call rotation or occasional need to work overtime based on business needs

Remote work options for residents in WI, MN, or IA only, with occasional need to work onsite for support initiatives in either La Crosse, WI or Green Bay, WI.

Starting salary of $70,000/ year and up based on your relevant work experience

Based on experience, this position may also be filled at an Application Analyst or Senior Application Analyst level.

An Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or a related field or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Experience: At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications: Epic Resolute Professional Billing and/or Hospital Billing certification will be required upon hire
  • Strong analytical and problem solving experience
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows including charge capture, coding, billing, claims, and follow‑up
  • Experience working with finance, revenue cycle, and operational stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users
  • Experience working in a healthcare IT environment
