Owens Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Diesel Technology, responsible for delivering quality instruction and creating an optimum learning environment. Ideal candidates should have industry certification or significant experience in diesel technology, alongside a passion for teaching.
The role involves classroom and lab instruction, evaluating student work, and integrating various methodologies to cater to different learning styles. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Teaching faculty at Owens Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. The applicant will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. This position requires teaching undergraduates, and applicants must provide evidence of teaching potential specifically in the discipline of Diesel Technology.
This position requires classroom and lab instruction in the discipline. The instructor must be knowledgeable in diesel technology in regards to engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drive train & axles, suspension & steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating & air conditioning, and engine performance; and must provide quality instruction. The instructor must have a demonstrated knowledge of and integration of appropriate practices of teaching different learning styles.
