Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in Austin, TX to greet customers, assess project needs, explain product features, and close sales with strong service. You’ll rotate across departments and become a product expert, guiding customers to solutions and promotions while maintaining high service standards.

You’ll contribute to a fast-paced store environment, assist with orders, and support checkout, inventory, and training of teammates. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state; Lowe's will support and fund this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand needs and communicate advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors to find merchandise.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and respond to requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department on-the-job and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
