Job summary

Island Palm Communities, a WinnCompanies affiliate, seeks a General Maintenance Technician – Appliance at Schofield Barracks, HI. You will perform appliance maintenance on rental units and community facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operations and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1–3 years of appliance/general maintenance experience, and basic competency in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience as General Maintenance Technician or Appliance Technician.
• Must demonstrate basic competency in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to deadlines using sound judgment.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments, managing multiple assignments and tasks.
• Must be able to utilize a mobile device for applications, email and internet.
• Must provide tools including Basic Hand Tools, Trade-specific tools and Small Power tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshooting and replacement of Appliances and components.
• Respond to service calls and complete COM work and other property maintenance tasks.
• Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other appliances.
• Load and unload trucks and materials; move supplies and materials to location.
• Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites.
• Repair and fabricate window and door screens and frames.
• Operate power tools and perform routine site clean-up after tasks.
• Respond to after-hours emergency and urgent repairs.
• Update work/status including time, materials and notes on mobile devices.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
