Job summary

Island Palm Communities LLC in Honolulu, HI seeks a General Maintenance Associate to join our on-site maintenance team. This full-time role will respond to service calls, perform COM work and a range of building maintenance tasks including cleaning, painting, repairs, and preventative upkeep.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to plan and prioritize work, adapt to changing situations, and operate a variety of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines.
• Adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient with mobile devices, apps, email and internet.
• Current vehicle license in good standing per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other appliances.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials with wheelbarrows/hand trucks.
• Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites.
• Remove floor tile, vinyl, plywood and drywall where needed.

The General Maintenance Associate will r espond to service calls, complete COM work and other property maintenance requirements including, but are not limited to cleaning, painting, interior/exterior decorating and maintenance , lawn maintenance, debris removal, plumbing, electrical work, smoke detector maintenance, repair or replacement of lights, roof repairs, heating/air systems maintenance, appliance repairs, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other electrical and gas appliances.
• Load and unload trucks and other conveyances; move supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks; stack materials for storage or binning ;collect refuse and salvageable materials.
• Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites.
• Remove floor tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic floor tile and plywood . Remove damaged drywall.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, work to deadlines using sound judgment
• Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments, managing multiple assignments and tasks and work under pressure
• Ability to utilize a mobile device including applications, email, and internet
• Ability to utilize and maintain specialty equipment
• Must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
