Tuknik Government Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is hiring an Appian Solutions Architect with a Top-Secret clearance to support a major government program in the DC area. The role focuses on appian reference architecture, secure, scalable modernization, and governance.

Responsibilities include designing modular architectures, evaluating capabilities, and guiding teams through complex modernisation while maintaining compliance with IL-5/IL-6 requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field; additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Eight or more years of enterprise application engineering experience, including substantial Appian solution architecture and delivery experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Appian application architecture, Record Types, process models, interfaces, security, data fabric, deployment packages, and performance design.
• Experience architecting integrations, relational data models, controlled migrations, and high-availability business applications.
• U.S. citizenship and the active security clearance or eligibility required for the work; ongoing eligibility thereafter.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Government, technical, and business stakeholders and to maintain accurate work records in approved systems.
• Ability to protect Controlled Unclassified Information and classified information, when assigned, and comply with required access, training, and handling procedures.

Responsabilités

• Establish and govern the Appian reference architecture, design standards, domain boundaries, security model, and reusable component patterns.
• Guide modernization from legacy models toward modular applications and governed data access.
• Define compatibility patterns that allow legacy dependencies to continue safely during migration.
• Evaluate Appian-native and external capabilities through trade studies and lifecycle-cost analysis.
• Design segregation using Appian groups, roles, and record-level security.
• Approve designs for refactoring, data migration, interfaces, and workflows.
• Coordinate architecture decisions across IL-5 and IL-6 deployment boundaries.
• Set nonfunctional requirements for availability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Review Appian packages, plug-ins, integrations, and external services before release.
• Mentor Appian engineers and resolve high-risk design and platform issues.
