Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field; additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Seven or more years of application development experience, including at least four years developing production Appian solutions.
• Advanced experience with Appian interfaces, process models, Record Types, data stores, integrations, security, expression rules, and deployment packages.
• Experience supporting relational databases, REST/SOAP services, automated testing, source/configuration control, and production troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship and active security clearance or eligibility for the work by start of performance, with ongoing eligibility thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Appian applications, interfaces, process models, records, rules, reports, security groups, and reusable components.
• Refactor legacy Data Type patterns toward Record Types and explicit data mappings while preserving backward compatibility.
• Modernize long-running process models using controlled versioning to keep contracting actions uninterrupted.
• Rebuild assigned workflows using validated process models and Government-approved acceptance criteria.
• Develop integrations through Appian Connected Systems, Integration Objects, web APIs, and approved interface adapters.
• Investigate Tier 3 defects, isolate root causes, implement permanent corrections, and add regression coverage.
• Perform peer reviews and ensure solutions meet architecture, security, accessibility, performance, configuration, and documentation standards.
• Create Appian-native unit and application-logic tests and support various testing types.
