Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Architect to provide integrated architecture support for delivery teams and act as a trusted advisor to clients. Architects guide design, integration, and platform decisions while mentoring delivery teams and implementing best practices across projects.

The role emphasizes scalable multi-tier architectures, DevSecOps, cloud/hybrid deployments, and ongoing collaboration with client enterprise architecture teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Appian experience
• 6+ years of IT experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area
• Active Appian Lead Certification
• Strong experience with Agile delivery
• Strong technical implementation skills
• Strong database design and development skills
• Experience evaluating issues found during security testing
• Experience with Appian Cloud configuration and support processes
• Experience deploying Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid platforms
• Knowledge of network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
• Willingness to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
• Local candidates preferred to the DC Metro area

Responsibilities

• Guide architecture design, integration and DevSecOps initiatives to drive technical success
• Collaborate with enterprise EA teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
• Lead implementation teams through Appian and related technologies
• Ensure scalable, high-performance solutions
• Integrate multi-tier architectures through integrations and configuration
• Evaluate emerging technologies for value and fit
• Create and document implementation best practices for internal enablement
• Provide thought leadership on process improvement
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools
• Mentor and train resources
