DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain - Apparel to lead the Apparel department, coach teammates, drive sales, and ensure athletes feel confident in their selections. You will deliver an engaging shopping experience rooted in product knowledge and athlete connection.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1-3 years of retail experience, with leadership experience preferred. Target pay range is $52,500–$66,500 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package and flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• With the SM and ASM, develop 30-60-90 day plans to support department priorities and budgets.
• Daily/weekly, communicate goals and plans to direct reports and assign workload based on skill levels to maximize efficiencies.
• Build and lead a strong, effective team, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, retaining direct reports, coaching, and evaluating performance.
• Adhere to policies on safety, loss prevention and SOPs; enforce rules and accountability.
