Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain – Apparel to lead the Apparel department and deliver an engaging shopping experience rooted in product knowledge and athlete connection. You will coach teammates, drive sales, and ensure athletes feel confident in their selections.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop 30-60-90 day plans, manage staffing and scheduling, and uphold company programs while maintaining outstanding customer experiences in-store.

Qualifications

• Retail customer-facing experience required.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Apparel department with engaging shopping experiences; coach teammates and drive sales.
• Develop 30-60-90 day plans with leadership; manage scheduling, staffing and store operations.
• Communicate goals to direct reports and optimize operations to meet payroll and financial targets.
• Build and lead a team; recruit, onboard, train and assess performance; ensure policies and safety.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; accountability for staff.
