Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Apparel to provide expert product advice and outstanding service to athletes in-store. You’ll blend merchandise knowledge with a customer-first approach to help shoppers find the right apparel for performance and everyday wear.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety and company standards, and welcoming every guest and teammate. A High School diploma and 1–3 years in retail or customer-facing roles are preferred.

• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by engaging athletes to understand shopping needs and provide product information.
• Anticipates athlete needs and drives sales through recommendations.
• Onboards and trains new team members as subject matter expert for store area.
• Acts as go-to expert in designated process categories to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintains merchandising standards and floor plans, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation.
• Encourages participation in loyalty programs and other Dick’s benefits.
• Creates a welcoming store environment where teammates and athletes are respected.
