Job summary

Space Coast Harley-Davidson in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Sales Associate to greet customers, assist with merchandise, and process transactions. You will help create an engaging shopping experience and represent the Harley-Davidson brand.

Ideal candidates have merchandising or retail sales experience, familiarity with POS and inventory systems, and a friendly, proactive sales ethos. Training and growth opportunities are available in a Fortune 500 company environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising and retail sales or demonstrated ability to learn sales process.
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale and computerized inventory systems or the ability to understand new technology
• Friendly, outgoing personality with positive attitude
• Ability to ask good questions and function as a sales consultant rather than a transactional salesperson
• Willingness to learn and develop sales skills

Responsibilities

• Greet customers immediately in a professional and friendly manner.

• Manage multiple customers while maintaining satisfaction.
• Point out sales, specials or new merchandise to customers.
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and provide fashion feedback.
• Accept cash and credit card payments; keep cash register accurate.
• Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items arrive.
• Assist with setup, organization and staging of events such as Open Houses and fashion shows.
• Maintain clean, current displays of merchandise appealing to customers.
• Maintain or conduct periodic inventory and prepare related reports.
• Maintain updated customer mailing lists.
• Attend training sessions to stay current with merchandising and inventory control.
